A Wooden Knife sharper and harder than steel?

Don't tell Al-Qaeda etc

Now my question here is: have Al-Qaeda and their ilk seen this because - I’m not sure here since I am not a metals engineer - but I don’t think wood shows up on metal detectors? Of course it is easier to just send terrorists across the southern border, but wood instruments sharper and harder than steel if one is thinking of 9/11.
