Why does Disney Cruise Line have policies to discriminate against people of color?
Disparate impact from vaccination policies on DCL
Look at the vaccination statistics for children ages 5-11 in California, it is much lower around the rest of the country, so the impact is higher around the country:
black: 21%
latino: 22.6%
white: 27.9%
asian: 63.9%
Disney Cruise Line is requiring vaccines for the 5-11 age group. Is there a reason for the huge disparate impact here besides overt racism? Perhaps DCL does not really want COC (children of color) (maybe KOC, kids of color?) on their ships?
Requiring the vaccine is a poor decison by DCL, particularly since the risk is so low for that age group unless they are obese or have some other pre-existing conditions, it doesn't stop infection, it doesn't stop transmission, and the protection fades very quickly. It is almost as if DCL isn't aware of the data and science.
